Linda Boston was born in Chicago, Illinois to a singing family of five (three children). She earned her undergraduate degree in broadcasting from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. Linda has been recognized for her portrayal in two of the nation’s most produced plays; “Crowns” by Regina Taylor (“Mother Shaw” ASF Theater, Montgomery, Alabama) and her most recent appearances as “Power/Professional Woman” at The Gem and Century Theater and other national TOC Productions of the internationally acclaimed “Menopause The Musical”.
She has performed in some of the nation’s most distinguished venues and received awards for legendary portrayals as Jackie “Moms” Mabley in the one woman show “Moms Mabley: The Naked Truth” and as Ella Fitzgerald in “How High The Moon”. Other blessings include requested vocalist/performer for the Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s 2006 Inauguration, the LINKS National Convention and the 52nd NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund dinner in Detroit. Linda’s dedication to youth has her mentoring and educating them in life skills through the arts, via various schools and community organizations like VSA arts of Michigan.
In 2001 Linda established PEER, Inc.
